Timothy J. Danner grew up in Athens, Ohio, where his imagination was stoked by fantastical and fascinating topics from an early age, like supernatural creatures, mythology, folklore, language, amusement parks, race cars and dinosaurs. He went on to fall in love with writing and literature, and received his BA from Amherst College (where he earned the Elizabeth Bruss Prize for “the student embodying the spirit of the English Department”) and his MA from UCLA. When he’s not writing, he’s either teaching, hiking, photographing, reading, traveling, listening to podcasts, watching movies, or thinking about words, dogs, baseball, Bigfoot and Brachiosaurs. Otherworld is his first novel.
